Anita is a Registered Clinical Psychologist, passionate about helping and empowering people find strength and joy in themselves, their work, their relationships and their lives. I provide expert, patient-centred care in a safe, compassionate and confidential environment.
I use a multi-model approach and evidence-based strategies shown to be effective for children, adults and couples.
I received my Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, in 1989, and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the Australian Catholic University, in 2013.
I have worked as a consultant for mining industries as well as in private practice for more than 30 years. I am a trained trauma/PTSD (EMDR) practitioner. I also work in the treatment and management of depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, work stress, bullying and conflict – also related to neurodivergent individuals.
In therapy, thoughts, feelings, experiences and patterns are considered from new angles in order to gain better understanding of situations, ourselves and others. This understanding is the first step towards renewed direction.
I use a multi-model approach and evidence-based strategies shown to be effective for children, adults and couples.
